While trying to draw out some kind of definition, I stopped and looked at what I had and not what I wanted. I realised that I already had clients who fitted into my ideal target market.

It was the same thing when I setup my business. I spent a lot of time reading and researching industries and business concepts. I investigated buying a wedding decor hiring business, maybe setup a travel business. In my research I came across the Virtual Assistant industry - it was a no brainer - I get to do what I am skilled at, and in the process I provide support to the consultant who needs assistance to reduce the administration burden, but only a part time basis.

It is to be WHO you are and offer WHAT you are good at to the people who will most appreciate what you bring to the relationship.]]>

We have a registered CC that is also registered for income tax at SARS. End of February is going to be our first financial year end.

Can/must I register for e-filing and do my tax return there? And do I need a registered accountant to sign off my financial statements?

Magda]]>

It became apparent to me that my existing double garage would provide the answers. In my garage I had tools, bicycles, a lawnmower and other bits and pieces of junk that was of no use to me anymore. I then realized that all of this could be stored in my “Zozo” hut in the back of my garden. With all this freed space I converted my garage into a very comfortable 36 sqm office.

Our unique concept retains your existing garage door, either single or double, while transforming your garage into a new customized area with a style to suit your needs. This newly created space can be of your choice and layout, adding or removing internal walls, windows, ceiling, floor covering, electrics, lighting, separate entrances, etc.

Whatever, you need the extra space for, you would be doubling your existing security with our concept and increasing the value of your property. If at any time you would like to revert to your original garage, it can easily be converted back without defacing.

Some of our clients prefer the more permanent type of conversion whereby the garage door/s are removed and the openings either brick up or a door and window installed, etc. We do these type of conversions as well.
Since the inception of Adapt-a-Garage we realized that there is a need to expand and started to market our existing as well as additional services to corporate companies and other home users. We have since applied our services to various companies and home owners alike.

We now also offer additional services i.e. Storage Solutions, Dry walling, Ceilings and General Office renovations, etc. We have quality artisans and all our work is only of the highest quality.

We are based in Randburg and currently only service the Northern and Western Parts of Joburg. Please feel to contact us for a free quotation if you reside in and around one of the above areas.

Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to introduce our company to you and we hope that you will call on us to provide you with reliable service and peace of mind.]]>

I am new on this website. I would like to introduce you to my startup business: Kingston Typing Services (KTS). This is a Virtual Assistant business (like a PA, but from home). I am still working my notice month at my current job and will only officially start my business on 1 February 2012. My website should go live from about the 25th of January.

I plan to launch my business with a big bang early to mid-February. I will invite other SME's and the local newspaper to the launch somewhere on the West Rand in Gauteng.

This will be an excellent networking opportunity which I plan to host monthly, depending upon the response and ROI. I will post the event on the Events folder and elsewhere.

There are 2 ways I can go about it: only invite and accept prospective clients as I will be hosting and paying for the event, or if the response is overwhelming ask for a cover charge and everyone is welcome as long as I receive an RSVP beforehand.

What are your thoughts?]]>
