Hope I am posting this in the right section.

I have a client that owes me money. He is ignoring my emails, my phone calls and my sms messages.

Can I take his website off the web for non payment?

What terms and conditions have you included in your quotes?

He started a security company. The whole idea in the beginning was to write a program that will be pay per download. Which is not happening anymore. So the contract between us says that I will be paid $10 per download. Which is not happening.

He in the meantime was given partnership with an international company which changed the whole setup of his company. He is more active on their side than his own.

He already made one payment, but I want my final payment and now he is ignoring me. I actually even went and drawn up a contract for a monthly Google Analytics and Adwords management together with his website maintenance. Once again ignored.

Just the fact that he is ignoring me is telling me he is dodging the fact that he actually has a contract and not doing his part.

And I need my money.

It has happened to me before where payment is out standing.

It was a real shame because the web site I made for the client was the most intense development work I ever did. I emailed and spoke to him on msn. He told me he was making plans and to give him a few weeks. I waited 3 months but finally decided to take his web site on. Have no heard from him.

It seems clear he moved on and thought he would just forget about paying me.

My advice is to take it down. Either he will send you a mail and things can get sorted out or he will not reply and you will then know if he is even interested anymore. If he is not you should just move on, write it off especially if he is in another country.

It worked. Sent him an email this morning. He replied within 30 mins.

Told him if I dont get a answer or response today his site will be removed from the web tonite.

You need to work on comprehensive t's and c's so that if you ever run into this kind of problem again, you can simply tell the client to refer to your quote / contract, then both parties know where they stand.

That is priority now. Just learned again that you cant trust anybody.

It seems you know what you are talking about. We have got the exact same situation only it's not a website so we can't take it down.

I was wondering if you know of anyone who can assist with writing up legal t's and c's for us?
