Hello Everyone,

I found a way that we can all help each other -- and the best part -- it will not cost you anything.

This applies to everyone with a website.

Download the following on your browser:

www.alexa.com/toolbar

It will not interfere in any way your computer operates or with any of your personal computer applications. If anything this might be a helpful tool because it gives you statistics on any website you visit.

Once you have done this – you periodically visit my website www.caterweb.co.za – lets say at least 3-5 times a day.

The whole purpose of this exercise is to increase my rankings on the web – and allow people to eventually find me. My rankings cannot increase unless the toolbar is installed.

Once you've downloaded the alexa toolbar – and log on to my website 3-5 times a day – it will defiantly boost my ranking. However, in order for the votes to count you NEED TO DOWNLOAD THE ALEXA TOOLBAR.

Obviously, there is nothing for free. So, I am willing to help others out and once you've downloaded the Alexa toolbar -- just e-mail your website url and I will log on to your websites 3-5 times a day.

Its simple -- we will help each other -- and increase website rankings.

Another thought -- whoever is the webmaster of mysmallbusiness could do the same by downloading the alexa toolbar and in return we could all log on to mysmallbusiness website to increase ranking, attract more members,etc.

Its a win -- win combo.

Remember we do not have to continually log on to each others websites -- if we persist for two months -- that will be enough to boost all of our rankings.

This will not help your GOOGLE, YAHOO, or BING rankings.

It may improve your Alexa traffic rank. This is because the Alexa rank is determined by gathering information from users that have the Alexa toolbar installed. This value is of little importance.

There are far better internet marketing strategies that you should focus your attention on.

I had a quick look at your websit and I'd recommend that if you are wanting to improve it and drive more traffic to you site, you post in the Website Reviews section:

Did I understand you correctly -- that Alexa ranking has no impact whatsoever on the major search engines?

I will also submit my site to the website reviews and see what happens.

Nope - I wouldn't pay too much attention to the Alexa ranking...

Junior webmaster might look at a high Alexa rank and be impressed - it's not going to help you get more business in.

Rather focus on writing quality content for your website.
