How about a quick survey on lead generation channels?

This will help everyone find new ways of generating leads! (Something almost everyone seems to want right now!)

Post a reply stating the source of your last 3 new business leads.

For me:
1. Referal via Linkedin
2. Socialmedia - Twitter
3. A referal from a current client

Ok, so we're talking leads here, not conversions...
My last 3 leads were from:

1) Lead from Google - natural search rankings (SEO)
2) Referral from a client
3) Lead from email marketing campaign

Referrals from cleints seem to have a higher conversion ratio than other leads - this stresses the importance of maintaing high service levels and good customer relations.

What is fascinating is that almost all of these at least one lead was generated through some form of social interaction and not the usual online advertising or search engine listing.

Yes - that shows how traditional marketing including tradition online marketing is changing, or should I say - has changed; and how businesses have to adapt.

For me, most customers are coming from HR forums. And now it is started coming from Twitter.

Interesting if I see where peoples leads come from, this has been my active lead channels:

1) Referral Partners (Cross selling on their current client base, bringing us in so they can keep opposition out)
2) Business Coach Referrals
3) Network Meetings
4) Word of Mouth
5) Supplier leads

I have not had one qualified lead from my website, twitter, facebook or any other form of social media used, however, I will admit that I have only recently started investigating these avenues for business purposes. Time has never been an ally to allow my sufficient use and understanding how to gain ground with social media, but slowly I am getting there.
